Vanilla Sugar is popular in Europe and it is used for wide variety of desserts. We found that most of vanilla sugar in Australia is artificial vanilla flavoured sugar. Tropical Vanilla proudly introduces our vanilla sugar to Australian bake lovers.
Normally vanilla sugar use 1 vanilla bean for 2 cups of sugar (400g) however Tropical Vanilla uses 4 vanilla beans - Grade A for 2 cups of sugar (400g). We use vanilla beans more than the normal recipe and infused them over 2 weeks to make rich aromatic vanilla sugar. Also we use pure vanilla beans only, not vanilla extract or vanilla powder.
We use Australian caster sugar for our vanilla sugar. Fine sugar well absorbs vanilla flavour and also caster sugar is used in a variety of baking and dessert recipes. You can substitute vanilla sugar for sugar. Our vanilla sugar is also used in beverage and cocktails as a sweetener. There are endless possibilities with our vanilla sugar.
