Planifolia vanilla beans are the pod of a tropical climbing orchid. Vanilla Planifolia is the most common type of vanilla beans and the most widely used in the world.  Only vanilla beans from the island of Madagascar, Reunion and the Comoros are called as “Bourbon” vanilla.

Planifolia vanilla beans are thinner than other type of vanilla beans however they contain high vanillin and tons of tiny seeds. Planifolia vanilla has rich, creamy, sweet, buttery aroma.
